Vista SP1 breaks some security programs.
With Microdoft Vista just about to be released they have notified some security programs in particular will not work correctly.

Short gist these programs are the ones people might have. Try to get the latest versions of your application before updating to SP1.
We have 2 computers now running SP1 without any issues. We use AVG or MacAfee generally.
Programs that are blocked from starting after you install Windows Vista SP1
The programs in the following table have known compatibility problems with Windows Vista SP1. For reliability reasons, Microsoft blocks these programs from starting after you install Windows Vista SP1.Note These programs are blocked from starting with the approval of the third-party software vendor.
